Fagen, Inc. has been selected to provide general construction services for North Dakota methane project

(September 23, 2009) -Proterra BioConversion is planning to construct a methane and fertilizer production plant at the Mercer County Regional Airport in Hazen, North Dakota. The project scope includes construction of a building; installation of proprietary anaerobic digestion units; and purchase and installation of organic material receiving and handling equipment, a pulping system, gas purification and wastewater treatment equipment and systems.

The plant will have the capacity to process 10 - 20 tons of thin sillage from ethanol production, manure and other organic waste per day, and produce methane gas and fertilizer. Fagen, Inc., based in Granite Falls, Minnesota, has been selected to provide general construction services for the project. Construction is expected to begin in the second quarter of 2010, following receipt of funding approvals.
